I have a wound that the bandage is changed every day. is it ok if i leave it open for the night?

the wound is in my butt check. there is no infection they only apply a gel a stuff it with gauze. i have no one to help me change it til tommorrowI have a wound that the bandage is changed every day. is it ok if i leave it open for the night?If you don't leave your wound properly packed, not only will you probably ruin some bed linen, you will run the risk of improperly healing your wound. Overnight is a long time to leave a wound exposed which would normally be packed. Improper drying of the wound and harmful scarring could begin. You will let infection in if you don't do this. wait until your dr. tells you to expose it
