Do airline's prices change every day?

I heard that flight prices change everyday. If so, what's the cheapest day and why?Do airline's prices change every day?Yes, and there is no cheapest day. In fact, some are known to change by the minute or the hour.

Basically it's supply and demand.

Generally, an aircraft's seats are sold by sections, and I don't mean first class, economy, etc. Even economy itself is divided up into sections. Each section has a different price. That's why there's a lot of %26quot;codes%26quot; on the tickets. Some codes have their own rules, like you must stay over a weekend, or so on and so forth. The cheapest seats go first, then when that section runs out, the next section's price goes into effect, unless you don't qualify for that section... so on and so forth. Each section's price then varies from day to day, hour to hour, depending on the computer's forecast for this flight. If the computer predicts seat will be left over, prices are lowered until forecast says plane should be just about full. If computer predicts there will be more people than seats at the current level of demand, then prices are raised.

That's why 9/11 was so devastating to the airlines. Not only the planes can't fly, and all the planes are in the wrong place, it also completely messed up their prediction models.Do airline's prices change every day?YesDo airline's prices change every day?Nearly. The more seats that are sold on a flight, the more expensive the remaining seats become. Weekends are usually the cheapest unless its a holiday, spring break, etc. because no business people are traveling.

Airlines do have sales, just like other businesses. You need to go to a web site like travelocity.com where you can track rates. They even have a way to notify you when there is a sale.Do airline's prices change every day?Every minute, or less.

Hotwire -- it's owned by the airlines.Do airline's prices change every day?yes
