Why do some web pages make small inconsequential content changes every day?

I have been using changedetection.com to track changes in mortgage mortgage rates at my bank. For some reason, my bank changes the smallest things everyday in the content and then back to the way they were the day after. They will put a word in caps or reword one sentence, then change it right back the next day.

Is this to prevent people from tracking changes in the website? Why do some web pages make small inconsequential content changes every day?Pages are rated on content. The more the content changes the higher the ranking. Rankings are done by bots which aren't able to detect that the changes are superficial like you did, but just that something changed.
