They're hazel, so some days they are green, others brown, and others hazel. But people say they change according to the light, i've noticed that does happen also when i cry, they go lighter.
Some people's eyes can appear to change color in different lights, but only slightly: greenish-gray eyes might look grayer or greener in some lights, say, or flecks in the iris might be more or less visible due to the pupil getting larger or smaller. And there are some who change drastically, such as from blue to hazel, or gray to dark green, but that's not that common, so your friend is very lucky!
-And it has more to do with the color of your clothes and the quality of the light than your emotion, and is a day-to-day thing.
-Emotion can play a part; when one's eyes are watery through anger or sadness, light is refracted differently into the iris.
