I was needle-pierced with 20g jewelry, and for my part time job i have to wear a clear plastic retainer, which is 18g. whenever i'm getting ready for work and changing my jewelry from 20g to 18g, it hurts and i can kinda feel my skin tearing inside. when i get home, i put in the original 20g jewelry in, and repeat the process every day. i have had my nostril pierced for about a month and a half now. am i just prolonging the helaing of the piercing by doing that every day?Is it safe to change nostril jewelry gauges every day? It probably isn't a good idea to change your jewelry every day, same gauge or not.
